"Molli's first obedience class my husband and I took her to just to watch her fall asleep during classes (not with DogGone Solutions). Not exactly worth the money. A few months after completing that one I thought I needed some help with Molli's listening skills. She seemed to listen to my husband but would ignore my commands.

The first class with DogGone Solutions was a nightmare as Molli was "that dog" that would not stop barking the entire class! Embarrassed, I went back the next week where she quickly calmed down and began focusing on what we were learning. The class not only helped Molli with listening to me, but increased our bond in a way I did not expect. She now follows directions and is more affectionate towards me, not just my husband anymore. Melanie has been wonderful to work with both in class and at recess. She is always willing to help give input on any issues we are having, as dogs seem to come with a lot of issues!

I have seen Melanie work with other dogs (more difficult than mine) and it is amazing to see the changes. It is obvious she knows what she is doing and more importantly, loves what she is doing. It seems this is not "just a business" for her, it is something she truly enjoys and does for the satisfaction of helping others, not the financial gain. That is not something I can say about many people, especially not in Melanie's profession. We will never do a class anywhere else but DogGone Solutions! Looking forward to Middle School starting soon!"

"We thought our 8 month old Boxer/Beagle mix, Lucky, was beyond help....until we met with DogGone Solutions! What they trained us to achieve in a brief 6 weeks was unbelievable! At our first class Lucky was pulling like a wild animal when we went through the door and by the end of the 6 weeks we were able to actually walk him and control him! He now sits and waits while we place his dinner bowl down, he knows how to "wait", "stay", "sit". We can't say enough good things about DogGone Solutions and what they were able to train us to do!"

"I had already had my puppy, Willie, to a puppy training class at another place, but I wanted more for him and me, too! I contacted DogGone Solutions and they were an answer to prayers! My little Bichon Frise puppy, Willie, was about six months old at the time. I chose to have them come to my home and they were very accommodating. Willie loved the trainer (and, their treats) and learned a great deal from the training. Of course, a great deal depends on the amount of time the owner spends working with the dog between sessions.

Willie is now 10 months old and is still a puppy and thus far from perfect, however, I get lots of compliments on his behavior and we are still working to make him the kind of dog everyone admires! Thanks for your help, DogGone Solutions!"

Mazie and I completed the Elementary school training in October. I was very pleased with the classes because the instructor was available to answer questions, model techniques, and showed patience and understanding of the puppies and owners. Mazie plans to further her education in hopes of attaining her certification as a therapy or assist dog. Great training methods, excellent rate of progress and super experience for both of us.

5/22/09 "Kalani has been in Elementary thru High school along with puppy recess and the agility training, and I must say it wasn't until I got the new pup that I saw how much progress Kalani made with these classes. I took it for granted until I compared Kalani's discipline to Mattie's. Will I enroll Mattie in the training program? You bet! Although Kalani's jumping my fence and leash pulling continues; her overall training and trainer have a huge difference. I can't imagine what she would be like without the training."


10/23/08 "Overall I was extremely impressed with the improvement of Kalani's behavior at home, and in public. With the limited space to train, the dogs got along well with each other. Melanie had great ideas and training ability and I look froward to the next class."

"Our puppy came to us with some baggage. Scottie came from an undesirable environment and as a result, he brought with him some bad habits. As determined as we were to make it work, some days he really tried our patience. We enrolled in these classes and our Trainer, Melanie, was very supportive and always available to help. Attending classes with Scottie and working on his training enabled us to build a better bond with him, which had been difficult under the circumstances.

At his "graduation," we were so proud of him. For the first time, we respected him for the smart dog he IS, instead of the difficult dog he had been! It takes a lot to admit that, but the classes gave us (and Scottie) more confidence, more hope in the future with him, and more pride in his ability! The classes are a great thing to do for you and your dog! We HIGHLY recommend it."
